You give the apology so much thought
I know why you do it
Because you want to make it go away
As fast as you can
It makes perfect sense
If I grew up the way you did
I would do the same thing
But I didn’t
So just like I empathize
You must as well
I know it’s tough
I know it hurts
But it’s you and I
Here, now
Not you and them
There, then
